Mr. Yasar Acar founded his eponymous company in Turkey/Istanbul in 1971, when he started producing brass grinders. In 1992, he expanded his production to include other products which he began exporting to many countries around the world. For almost half a century, Yasar Acar has been producing unique coffee and spice grinders as well as other accessories for serving Turkish coffee and tea.

At the heart of all the grinders from the Yasar Acar factory are the unique grinding cones, which were specially developed by its owner Yasar Acar. Acar's grinders are powered by a conical gear system called HIGH-TORQUE to withstand the heavy loads that occur when grinding coffee finely. The advantage of the design of these grinding cones is that the coffee beans are ground evenly according to the fineness selected.Most importantly, there is no heating of the beans during the grinding process, which some cheap hand grinders cause. The premium range of grinders is called "Fantom".

Today, the Yasar Acar factory employs more than 50 people and their portfolio consists of nearly 1500 products.
